Oċaƞk̄u Awayaƞk̄a Consulting Services, LLC is a Kansas-based information technology and organizational consulting firm built on a foundational conviction: Indigenous communities, tribal governments, and Native-serving organizations deserve access to the same caliber of strategic technology leadership that major institutions have access to — delivered by people who understand those communities from the inside out. Our principal holds a degree in Lakota Studies from Sinte Gleska University, is proficient in the Lakota language, has taught technology and STEAM skills on the reservation, and maintains deep, ongoing ties to Indigenous communities across the Great Plains.

When we conduct a technology assessment for a tribal college or Native-serving nonprofit, we are not simply evaluating servers and software licenses. We are asking whether data governance structures reflect the community’s sovereignty and whether today’s technology decisions protect the community’s information, cultural assets, and right to self-determination. We serve tribal governments, tribal enterprises, tribal colleges and universities, Native-owned businesses, Native-serving nonprofit organizations, and small to mid-sized nonprofits across education, community health, social services, and workforce development sectors.
